Artists used to work alone in their caves. Not just artists — coders, researchers, and so many others, each living in a world separated from the rest. Everyone is great in their own way. But what if they could come together, sharing, learning, growing, and supporting each other? I believe that when great friends come together, we can make great things happen.

 

As an artist, I find that art can be the medium that bridges great people together. Art is a medium of freedom, a safe space to experiment with new ideas and possibilities. Yet its effect can range from a little spark in our minds to something profound that leaves an impression in our hearts for a lifetime. Art is not only for artists, but for anyone who shares the love of art — to create, to appreciate, and to push forward the boundaries of art itself and the world around us.

 

ArtGumi is a small creative community. We want to create a space where cross-disciplinary people who share the love of art can come together and become friends — sharing their experiences and ideas, learning new things together, supporting each other, and growing together while creating opportunities to show the world the great things that come out of the process. We hope to show that coming out of our caves and joining hands with others can be a fun and creative first step, opening up new possibilities for ourselves and the world around us, little by little.
