Gio Karlo is a visual artist based in the Philippines whose current practice centers on an original angel figure used as a recurring symbol and narrative device. Through this character, his work explores themes of nostalgia, emotional liminality, and the quiet tensions of growing up in a hyperconnected digital world.
His works have been exhibited in Singapore, London, Beijing, Tokyo, and Indonesia.
Notable achievements include 5th place in the 2020 HighArt Competition and a winning entry in the Paloma Digital Art Awards for the Solo Artist Still Life category.
