Doll customisation artist. Associate professor in Character Design, Faculty of Manga, Kyoto Seika University (until 2024)
Began doll customisation in 2002. Also active as an illustrator, designer, and doll creator.
Contributed and exhibited numerous works at exhibitions, events, artist collaborations, and in magazines. Published books on illustration, art, and Photoshop techniques.
Served as doll supervisor for “Dolly Variety," a television programme on TVK (Television Kanagawa) featuring collaborations between dolls and voice actors. Produced commercial dolls, created sample makeup, and handled art direction and design.
Spent many years teaching character design, manga, and digital techniques in educational settings. Held the position of specially appointed associate professor in the Character Design Course, Faculty of Manga, Kyoto Seika University until 2024.
She drew illustrations, cherished dolls, created manga, and captured photographs—quietly living in a corner of Japan as naturally as breathing. Passed away at age 55.
櫁蜂（みつばち) ドールカスタム作家、アーティスト 2002年よりドールカスタムを開始。イラスト、デザイン、ドール作家としても活動。 展覧会やイベント、アーティストとのコラボや雑誌に多くの作品を提供・出品。単行本や絵、Photoshopの技法書などの著作物もある。 ドールと声優のコラボTV番組(TVKテレビ神奈川)「ドーリィ☆バラエティ」ではドール監修で参加。企業量産ドールのプロデュースやサンプルメイクの他、アートディレクション、デザインも手掛ける。 長年、教育の現場でキャラクターデザイン、マンガ、デジタル技法の指導も行う。2024年まで京都精華大学マンガ学部キャラクターデザインコース特任准教授として所属。 イラストを描き、ドールを愛で、漫画も描きながら写真も撮りつつ、息をするように日本の片隅でゆっくり生きた。享年55歳。
